How do I install Spigot, Paper, or CraftBukkit onto my Minecraft server?

31840 views

You can install many popular modded Minecraft server versions on your server and install them easily from the updates menu in your control panel.

Note: If you already have a custom .jar file you want to run specifically on your server, follow the instructions in this knowledgebase article instead: https://chicagoservers.co/clients/knowledgebase/73/Can-I-run-a-custom-.JAR-file-on-my-server.html

To install a pre-compiled mod jar file:

  1. Login to the control panel.
  2. Navigate to your server.
  3. Click on theΒ Updates menu option

ClickΒ Install next to whichever mod you want to install. You can update your vanilla server by clicking on the "Latest Minecraft Version (Vanilla) icon", or revert to vanilla by clicking this. If you do, the data from CraftBukkit or Spigot will remain so you can always come back to it later.

Launching an install will place the most up-to-date version of that mod (or vanilla) onto your server.

JAR Not Listed?

NOTE: If the above feature doesn't include the specific server JAR you're looking for, you can install and run any jar file you want to download from another source.

For steps on how to do this and activate it, check out this article here: https://chicagoservers.co/clients/knowledgebase/73/Can-I-run-a-custom-.JAR-file-on-my-server.html
