How to change the default Egg Hatch Time on your Palworld Server

Summary

Customizing the egg-hatching speed on a Palworld server empowers administrators to customize the gaming experience according to the preferences of their player community. By modifying the hatching speed, server admins have the flexibility to accelerate or decelerate the process, impacting the pace at which players acquire creatures and advance in the game. This level of customization enhances the adaptability of the server environment, accommodating various difficulties and contributing to a more immersive and pleasurable gaming experience for Palworld players.

How to Edit the Egg Hatching Speed on a Palworld Server

1. Log in to the Server Control Panel.

2. Stop the server. (It is important to stop the server before making any config file changes or they will not save correctly!)

3. Navigate to the Configuration Files section of the left hand menu and you will have two options to modify your server's configuration files. When making the changes, you can use either the text editor (as pictured) or the config editor (GUI) in the control panel to make these changes.

4. Locate PalEggDefaultHatchingTime and change the value to the desired amount of 15 minute intervals that you want the maximum time to take to hatch an egg..

The value represents the maximum time in real-time, not in-game hours. Some eggs may take shorter, while rarer eggs may take the full hours.

So, a setting of  "1" will make it 15 minute at most for larger eggs (and less time for the smaller ones).

5. Press the Save Content button then restart your server!
