How can I upload my pre-existing Valheim world to my server?

Via File Manager (Easier)

This method is a bit quicker and likely better for customers new to running a server. However, both methods will work.

1. Login to the control panel at http://cp.chicagoservers.co and navigate to your server.

2. Open the File Manager on the left menu, then go to the Worlds folder. Once you're in there, click Upload, as pictured below:

3. An upload box will appear. You will need to upload each world file that you have from your current map/world. There may be between 2-4 files. Upload everything you have into this folder. It will likely be called "Dedicated" since this is the default world name. Just upload and overwrite. No config file changes will need to be made, as described below, if the world name is the same.

* If you are uploading a world that you hosted from your game, it will likely be stored here: C:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\LocalLow\IronGate\Valheim\

4. Restart the server.

If your world file names are different:

Once you upload your four world files, go to Configuration Files and open start_valheim.sh. Change the world name to the files you just uploaded. If they're titled "Dedicated" you can just overwrite the current ones and then restart the server. If the files have a different name, you'll need to edit the start_valheim.sh file and save it. Then, restart the server.

* Note: If your world files are larger than 75MB, you may have some issues and it may be quicker to upload using the FTP method (Listed below).

Via FTP Program (FileZilla)

(It's easy as drag and drop once you're connected to it. Don't let it be intimidating!)

First, you'll need to connect to your server's FTP so you can move files to and from your server hosted with ChicagoServers and your computer. More info on that can be found HERE.

Once you're logged into the FTP program, upload your save files to the Worlds folder in your server's root directory

Below is the file structure that you should see. This illustrates the file/directory structure that you should see.
